Terre Haute Exploratory Work

Terre Haute, Indiana Exploratory Work

The Bloomington Reformed Presbyterian Church is exploring the feasibility of planting a church in Terre Haute in conjunction with interested families in the area.

Are you:

  • tired of the entertainment environment in much of the modern church?

  • hungry for the serious preaching of God's Word?

  • looking for a safe place to raise your children?

  • wanting a smaller, more intimate church family?

  • a homeschooler desiring a more supportive church?

  • looking for friends who are really serious about walking with God?

  • a college student seeking answers to life's major questions?

  • tired of the “worship wars” and willing to consider a biblical approach to worship?

  • from a reformed background?

  • reading and appreciating authors like RC Sproul, John Piper, Francis Schaeffer, Charles Spurgeon, Martin Lloyd-Jones, the Puritans, etc?

  • tuning in to the radio or TV programs of D. James Kennedy, Alistair Begg, or John MacArthur?

If so, then our church may be for you!

We are committed to:

  • emphasizing the Word of God, relating the Bible to all of life.
  • focusing on the preaching of the Word, prayer, Bible study, singing Psalms of praise, and the sacraments.
  • edifying believers and reaching the lost.
  • reflecting our gratitude for what Christ has done for us.

We:

  • are a people-friendly and family-friendly church (encouraging children to be in the worship service).
  • are a confessional church using the Westminster Standards and RPCNA Testimony as our doctrinal subordinate standard (subordinate to the Bible).
  • have a heart for those outside of Christ - evangelistic.
  • have a heart for and are welcoming to students.

The Bloomington RP Church has been in existence for 187 years and is part of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America which traces its roots to John Knox and the Presbyterian Church of Scotland in her purest days embracing the principles of the Second Reformation between the years 1638 and 1649.
