Living with cancer

On Tuesday, March 24, we are hosting a special presentation called “Understanding and Living with Cancer: A Christian Perspective on Living with a Deadly Disease”. The speaker will be Dr. Richard Holdeman, a lecturer in biology at Indiana University as well as one of our pastors, who for the past two years has been living with an aggressive form of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. He will discuss the experience, meaning, and theology behind disease and suffering, as well as give practical instruction on how to find hope and comfort in the midst of it.

The presentation will be held at our church building (302 E. First St.) beginning at 7:00p.m. and running for about an hour and a half. If you, or a loved one, is fighting a major disease and seeking comfort, or if you are simply interested in the Christian meaning of suffering, we hope you will join us.
